Small group training
The basic premise of our small group training program is to provide players with an opportunity to train with our staff coaches outside of their team sessions. A combination of hard work, ethics, and a good technical education will provide players with a solid foundation to become better players than their natural ability will allow.

Competitive Girls Director Lauryn oversees all aspects of the 11U–19U girls' teams. She also serves as a head coach for multiple teams in the U14–U19 age groups, consistently leading teams to success at the local and state levels.
Since joining Rush in 2022, Lauryn Scales has guided her teams to notable achievements, including a 2022 Kepner Presidents Cup State Championship, a 2023 USYS State Cup Finalist run, and back-to-back division titles in the NCYSA Classic and Premier Divisions. In recognition of her leadership and coaching excellence, Lauryn has been selected to coach a Regional Select Team at the International Rush Select Cup in 2024 and 2025.
In addition to her club responsibilities, Lauryn is the head varsity coach at Atkins High School and previously led Winston-Salem Christian School to consecutive state championships in 2023 and 2024. She also serves as the Sports Director and High Performance Trainer at Speed Dreams. At this private training facility, she works with athletes across multiple sports to enhance performance, strength, and development.
Lauryn played collegiate soccer at Carolina University, following time at Catawba College, and holds Rush Way Level 1 and 2 coaching licenses, and the U.S. Soccer 11v11 Grassroots license.
